A valid photo identification in the form of a Driver License, Passport, DNI etc. is required at check-in.
The Nest Boutique Hostel is situated in Upper Salthill, a leisurely 15-20 minute walk from Galway city centre. The bus stop is just outside our door with a regular bus going to Galway city (from early morning till midnight).
Each bed (in dorm rooms) has a personal locker for small valuables. The Nest strongly recommends for their guests to bring a padlock to lock the locker. Locks can be purchased for €4 in the property’s vending machine. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that personal belongings are secure at all times. The Nest hostel accepts no liability for the loss, theft or damage to guests’ property in dormitories as well as private rooms, however sustained or caused. Customers take full responsibility for keeping their property locked in their bedrooms.
There are some plug adaptors available at reception subject to availability.
Yes the water is safe to drink from the tap. We also provide drinking water in the common area throughout the day.
The Nest does not accept bookings made by those under the age of 16. Under 18’s cannot stay in any shared rooms, however they can stay in private rooms when accompanied by an adult over 18 years. If you’re between 16-18 and want to stay in a private room, you’ll need written consent from your parent or guardian. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in an automatic cancellation with no refund given.
If you cancel the booking 48 hours or less before the check in date, you will be charged 100% of the first night. If you cancel more than 48 hours before the check- in time, you will not incur a charge.

We accept Visa Debit, Visa Credit, Mastercard and cash payments.
There is no curfew however the front doors are locked at 12pm. You will need to use the fob on your key to gain entry between 12pm and 7am.
The hostel has a fully equipped kitchen with cookers, hobs, a microwave and fridge/freezer. It is open from 7am to 12pm.
No we have mixed dorms and female dorms.
If you arrive before the check-in time and your room is not ready, you can relax in our common area with a complimentary refreshment (tea, coffee, water) or you can leave your luggage with us and explore the area.
Check-in is anytime from 3pm. If you are arriving after 9pm we just ask that you notify us and that your bill is paid in advance. Check out is any time before 10am. A later check-out, until 12pm can be arranged for €10 per double room and can be booked on arrival.
Small safes (large enough for cameras, documents, wallets, small laptops etc.) are provided in the dormitories. Keys can be bought at the Hostel for a fee of €4 or you can bring your own lock. We recommend that all guests avail of the locker facility as the hostel cannot accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen.
Yes luggage can be stored at the hostel on the day of arrival / departure.
Yes, we have a mixture of twin rooms, double rooms, dormitories and family rooms which are ensuite.
Breakfast is not included however our on site Cafe offer a discounted breakfast which is only available to our guests of which there are two options
Option A €4.50: Choice of drink (Hot and cold options) and freshly baked Pastry
Option B €7.50: Choice of Drink (Hot and cold options), A freshly baked pastry, Granola with yogurt or milk, an Apple or banana, Toast or brown bread with Butter and choice of Jam, honey, Nutella or peanut butter.
We have limited parking in the grounds of the Hostel. There is ample free parking on the street outside the Hostel.
Yes towels are included in all bookings.
Yes there is free Wifi throughout the hostel
Yes, all children are welcome in private rooms however only children aged 2 and under can stay free of charge. All children older than 2 years are counted as 1 full guest.
